We have started glazing the bathroom walls with glass bricks to maximise the light. Beams and two doors, 19th and 18th Century ready for stripping and painting. Electric cabling chased into the walls too.

Last Friday we went up to the Black Mountains with our Melbourne buddies, Richard and Kerry. On the way back we had a picnic at a lovely mountain village called Saissac.

Ancient terra cotta tiles, found inside the bedroom wall we took down, have been cleaned and will eventually laid in the hallway. We tried them out and think they look lovely. Maurice our 88 year old neighbour casually mentioned that the houses in the street are 200-300 years old. Downstairs lounge boarded and bathroom built, just waiting for the glass bricks to go in the top of the bathroom walls to increase the light. Chimney repaired and views from the roof.

The rooms have been gutted and the rails put in ready for the plasterboard. The basic frame is in for the shower and toilet. Vincent the "Placoman" works at the prison in Carcassonne.
